Laura Olsher 1927-2012

I'm sorry to report that Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol actress, Laura Olsher, passed away on June 5th after a bout with pneumonia.  For those of you familiar with my book, you will remember Laura as the actress who performed the role of Mrs. Cratchit, Peter Cratchit and the Laundress as well as many other miscellaneous roles in the film, about a dozen in all.  Disney fans will recall her as the narrator on the album, Chilling,Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House

Oh, wow. Terribly sad news. I will watch the special this year with a touch of sadness when they get to the La-la-las in 'We're Despicable.' RIP, Ms. Olsher.

Sad news indeed. Thanks to your book, Darrell, and her participation in the audio commentary on Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol, she has the opportunity for her voice and talent to live on. The 50th anniversary will be bittersweet.

RIP Haunted Mnaison narrator. I hadn't really read much of this recently. She started with a raido career that Tim Hollus and Greg Ehbarh in "Disney Records"(Mouse Tracks) said led to a one woman childrens raido show! An infleunce to all of us,past present and future, just that passage from the book.Steve C
